Having acknowledged Jesus Christ as Lord and Master of our lives, and having put
our full dependence in His atoning work on the cross, we joyfully and publicly confess
our faith in Him. We rejoice not only in the confidence of our eternal salvation, but in
the fact that we have been baptized, by His Spirit, into His Church, and that we have a
special relationship one with another as brothers and sisters in God's Family.
Therefore, as a local church - a local fellowship of believers - we are together
committed, with one heart and mouth, to glorifying our great God and Savior....
Furthermore, in committing ourselves to this local
Body of believers, we together pledge our loyalty to the services and programs of Grace, and
determine to be enthusiastically supportive in our involvement and attendance. We determine to give
joyfully and regularly, as God prospers us, for the support of the ministry. We acknowledge
our accountability one to another and together pledge our submission in all areas of life and doctrine.
And we recognize the privilege and power of prayer, and together commit ourselves to earnestly and faithfully
pray for one another. Finally, we recognize that although our commitment and devotion to our God must be
supreme, it is interwoven with our love and devotion to one to another, and together we pledge ourselves to
this kind of thinking and this kind of living.
